Refund Policy

At Marina Investigations, we take pride in offering highly customized investigative and fraud prevention services. Due to the personalized, research-driven, and time-sensitive nature of our work, we maintain the following refund policy:
1. Non-Refundable Services
All investigative services—including but not limited to background checks, surveillance, social media monitoring, fraud investigations, and custom reports—are considered non-refundable once work has commenced. This includes any time or resources already spent on planning, research, or correspondence related to your case.
2. Deposits & Retainers
Clients may be required to pay a retainer or deposit before work begins. This deposit secures your place in our investigation queue and allows us to allocate appropriate resources. Deposits are non-refundable once services begin, but may be partially refundable (less administrative costs) if the client cancels in writing before any services have commenced.
3. Cancellations
Cancellations must be made in writing via email to info@marinainvestigations.com within 24 hours of booking. If your investigation has not yet started, you may be eligible for a partial refund, minus any administrative fees or consultation charges.
If work has begun—even if preliminary—no refunds will be issued.
4. Unsatisfactory Results
Due to the unpredictable nature of investigations, results are not guaranteed, and lack of findings does not qualify as grounds for a refund. Our services are billed based on time, effort, and access to professional resources—not based on specific outcomes.
5. Client Inactivity or Non-Responsiveness
If a client fails to respond, provide necessary information, or delays the process for more than 30 days after payment, we reserve the right to close the case. In such situations, no refund will be issued.
6. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or inability to fulfill services due to events outside of our control (e.g., natural disasters, system outages, legal restrictions). In such rare cases, we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis, but full refunds are not guaranteed.
